PERSONAL TRAINING SESSION - is a one-on-one session with a Certified Personal Trainer who is committed to providing guidance, education, and motivation to the client who is in the pursuit of an established and reasonably obtainable goal.

CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER - is an individual who has successfully completed an education and certification program provided by a certifying organization.


RESISTANCE TRAINING - is repetitious load bearing exercise i.e. weights or other resistance to build, strengthen, and maintain lean body tissue (muscle) as well as increase bone density and mass.

FUNCTIONAL TRAINING - is an integrated approach to strength training focused on exercising multiple muscles and joints together instead of working muscles in isolation as with conventional strength training. Functional Strength Training emphasizes the body's core muscles - abdomen and back - as stabilizers. The core plays an important role in nearly every sports activity as well as everyday life.


CORE TRAINING - is activity using the core muscle of the body i.e. trunk and pelvis (non-extremities i.e. arms and legs) to improving balance, movement, stability, flexibility and more.

BALANCE TRAINING - is an approach used in exercise programming whereby certain exercises are performed to promote balance and agility. Balance training is not just for athletes, it is also important for mature adults. Balance training is a key factor in reducing the risk of falling and causing serious injury. It also improves our ability to maintain independence.


CARDIOVASCULAR EXERCISE (Aerobic) - Is activity using the large muscles to engage the heart and lungs causing them to work harder than at rest for an extended period of time. Exercises such as: treadmill, bikes, ellipticals, stair climbers, and group fitness classes provide excellent sources of aerobic and cardiovascular exercise.


DIET & NUTRITION COUNSELING by Registered Dietitian - Let our Registered Dietician help you achieve your good health goals. Kuala Labrador, RD LD/N, is a Registered Dietician, with the American Dietetic Association (ADA), and Licensed Dietician/Nutritionist, with the state of Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at the Florida International University.
